For puppies that are ages 3 months to 24 months, this weekly class emphasizes socialization between other canines as well as meeting new humans. Starting with the basic obedience regimen, we place high priority on reading body language between canines and canine to human. Learn to read what your dog is communicating. An intro to agility fun is introduced the last half of the session. Participants should be prepared to bring shot records for their canine to class. For pups ages 3 months to 2 years old maximum. Proof of appropriate puppy vaccinations and bordetella vaccination is required to attend. Ages 16 and up.

STAR Puppy Program - 308810

The American Kennel Club S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is a 6 week incentive program to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. Training classes include socialization skills, information on puppy raising including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called. The class is led by an AKC approved Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, with a test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you'll get an application to send to the AKC to receive the Star Puppy Medal and be listed in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records. For puppies up to one year of age. Ages: 13 and up.

Canine Good Citizen - 308820

The American Kennel Club “Canine Good Citizen” is a class that stresses good manners, obedience, socialization, and responsible dog ownership. All dogs who pass the CGC Test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. This class is taught by an A.K.C. Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and is highly recommended course for all breeds (and mixes) of dogs. Breeds of dogs that may potentially be labeled as dangerous are especially encouraged to attend. Ages 10 and up

Students will weave samples that can be made into mug rugs or coasters, then can continue on to a bigger project in future classes of “Individual Study”.
